Thumbs up for disambiguation comments. Thumbs down to people who don't read them. Big thumbs down to featured artists who have common names and little to no information anywhere as to who/what they are, they confuse EVERYBODY.rnrnI'm not going to get over-zealous with 'proper' punctuation. Capitalisation standards I can deal with, but I'm on a computer so ASCII rules. MBz is not my English lesson.rnrnI've warmed to features in the artist field. Shame though, that Picard can't automatically enter feature credits before ETI - 'Song A (feat. Artist B) (Artist C mix)', for example.rnrnI also now find myself doing clean-ups as well as removing data so ModBot can have at it. Really annoying, as it usually ends up being the same old re-added shite which I fixed previously. And they're not hip-hop.. I don't even like these artists!rnrnEditors who add messy releases get The Gas Face, especially when they don't leave proper edit notes. 'CD in hand' for example, because this exact line used to be the suggested edit note you should leave, and you don't have a barcode/cat#, or are adding an iTunes release.. derpz. Or you type in any old crap to get past the warning (you Know who you are.. oK?)rnrn=rnrn2017-05rnSo... editing nowadays tends to leave a bad taste in my mouth. I don't check my subscriptions nearly as often as I used to, and a recent period of doing hefty, constant clean-ups on a certain few shitty casual editors who cared very little about accuracy and honesty in their own edits has made the whole editing and re-editing process a real chore. MBz was (and still is) an open wiki for said shitty casual editors to create vanity pages for 'projects' that either don't exist, or have incredibly tenuous, non-3rd party evidence for their existence. Because of that, and the fact that anybody can create literally any page for themselves just as long as there's any old URL for it gives me the impression that MBz can and may slowly turn into a FreeDB for digital media, which I don't care for. Some of the more recent style changes (or undo's?) and general guidelines aren't really my cup-of-tea either. That's the direction that this site is headed however, so be it. No point being vocal about how doing 'a, b & c' back in the day instead of 'x, y & z' now was better. That noise can stay penned off in this bio. Change is bound to happen.rnrnI'll still do the odd edit-burst of an artist/label/associates now and then, maybe add a missing release or 2 when I need them (Picard is still, for the most part the best thing about MBz) but right now doing more than that doesn't seem like much fun or worth the effort.rnrnAt least I can manually edit within Picard.. :)rnrn=rnrn2018-rnI've come to the conclusion that policing (or trying to police) those certain editors is not what I'm here for. I have therefore deleted those editors and their crappy artists & labels from my subscriptions feed. Seeing their garbage appear in my sub emails daily/weekly was probably the biggest factor towards making editing suck. MBz may still turn into FreeDB, but until then ignoring the forces behind that eventual transformation is best for my sanity, I think.rnrn=rnrn2019-01rnMy main PC rig died back in October 2018, and trying to navigate this site on my old laptop sucks. I also don't have as much time to edit as I used to. Yes, real life got real.
